Saints win the Super Bowl

I have never been happier to have been wrong in a prediction than I am this morning. The Saints beat the Colts last night by a score of 31 - 17 and they deserved the win and every one of those 31 points. From a near perfect quarterback to a perfect kicker, a staunch defense and a gutsy coach who did something no other coach has done in the history of the Super Bowl (call an onside kick at the beginning of the second half) the Saints have made their city and state happy and proud. I am happy for them and the only thing that still gnaws at me is the fact that we (Dolphins) passed on acquiring Drew Brees because we were afraid of his shoulder injury and instead took Duante Culpepper. Look how things worked out for both teams. Arghhh!

That onside kick was beautiful! And that interception for 75 yards I believe it was, sealed the Colts fate. And you are right, the Saints deserved that win and this was their first trip to the Super Bowl and won! I was so happy for New Orleans Saints.

Yes, it was a great game and it seems just about everyone I talk to is happy the saints won.

Hi Cortana,

Nice to hear from you again. It was nice to see the Saints win. Living here in South Florida in Hurricane Alley so to speak, I have experienced the wrath of these destructive storms and I know how the people of New Orleans felt with the devastation of Katrina. We had a similar event years back with Andrew which razed certain areas down to next to nothing.

It's nice to see them win as a sort of triple comeback. The hurricane, Brees' shoulder injury, and the game itself. It's been a long road back for the people of New Orleans but they got their championship.
