Ouch! This is the first time in the playoffs that the Miami Heat have lost two games in a row and it could not have come at a worse time. The Dallas Mavericks beat the Heat last night 112 - 103. Lebron James had a triple double, but scored only two points in the fourth quarter. Dwyane Wade was in and out of the game due to an injury to his left hip which left him in much pain although he toughed it out and was the Heat's leading scorer with 23 points.
The series now returns to South Beach for the final two games and two things need to happen. One is the home cooking had better be of optimal quality and two is the Heat had better get back to playing defense after the night off that they took last night. The Heat cannot allow Dallas to score 112 points and expect to win. That is not Miami's operating model. It will all be academic if they lose the next game, but if they win, fasten your seat belt and store your tray tables in the upright position for what will be a game 7 for the ages.
