Head of GSA resigns

Martha Johnson, the head of the General Services Administration, an agency supposed to take care of federal buildings and provide logistical support for federal agencies, has resigned after a report came out finding that her agency spent over $820,000.00 of taxpayer money for a training seminar at the lavish "M" Resort Spa and Casino outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Among other things the agency paid $75,000.00 for a team-building exercise during the seminar.

Of course, when you are going to run an event like this you have to make several trips to "scout" the location and this is exactly what happened, to the tune of over $100,000.00. It is disturbing to say the least, to know that while we are all struggling to make ends meet and pay our taxes, the government is running around partying on our dime.
