MOTW: Moribund Manager

Moribund Manager dresses primarily in black, reads Kafka and Camus for comic relief and rocks out to Mozart’s Requiem Mass in D Minor. The atmosphere in his/her office can charitably be described as funereal and sightings of the grim reaper within the building cannot always be dismissed as apocryphal. Moribund Manager’s staff members have all put in for transfers, even if it means moving to Psycho Manager’s unit, because they correctly sense that remaining much longer within Moribund Manager’s purview will cause their careers to inexorably wither on the vine and expire.

MOTW: Charmed Manager

Usually not a very good manager at all, Charmed Manager was born under a good sign. No matter how badly he/she has screwed thing up, at some point, usually right before it all blows up, things randomly fall into place through extraneous circumstances (see Deus ex Machina). Charmed Manager then emerges from the dicey situation smelling like a rose. The trick here is to link your start to Charmed Manager only at these very precise moments. Consuming a lot of antacids can somewhat alleviate the stomach pain of working under Charmed Manager during the rest of the time.

Greatest Olympian ever

Michael Phelps did it. He surpassed Russia's Larissa Latyninaas, the most decorated Olympian ever, with 19 medals. His greatness is truly hard to fathom. Swimming is by far my favorite sport to watch in the Olympics and watching Phelps do his thing was awesome. Let's see how long he holds on to this distinction.
