How is Obama doing?

This is hardly surprising given the administration's response to the recent spate of events in North Korea, Iran and Honduras just to name a few. Polls are now beginning to show that while Obama still inspires confidence as a leader, some are beginning to question his toughness. The short article focuses on his plans for the future of the nation and handling a "crisis" and doesn't mention foreign policy specifically, but it is my guess that this is also influencing the results. Charisma and nuanced speech only go so far as his recent Russian trip proved.

Bush talked tough but didn't do anything but damage! Remember: 'shock and awe', 'mission accomplished', 'decider', etc. During tough-talking Bush's watch we went into Iraq unnecessarily, Iran continued developing it's 'nucular' capabilities and North Korea became an openly nuclear nation!! Toughness sometimes is seen in patience, diplomacy, and negotiation as we see Obama doing!!!

What a loser. 3 more years until the public votes him out of there. We can't take any more of this financial pounding. Our futures are screwed. No more small businesses, welcome only the large who survive. Hope you guys like Wlamart and their Chinese imports.

@ Puldr, I love how when the heat turns onto Obama you libs bring up Bush. No one was inspired by Bush. Get off your high horse, get out of the past and be realistic about the present.

I think that a year from now when we're still mired in this recession, Obama and company will look back at these poll numbers with great longing. The honeymoon will be over by then, and people will no longer be able to fall back on blaming Bush for everything. All the smooth talking and photo-ops will not make up for the lack of progress on his campaign promises.

How true, let's start with a supposedly easy one, Gitmo.
