The author of the article talked with Quincy Jones, the producer of both albums, and delivers a detailed explanation of their production for music aficionados. For instance, everyone knows that Eddie Van Halen delivered the guitar solo in Beat It, but among the nuggets included here are that Jeff Porcaro, drummer for Toto, was on drums for that song and that Steve Lukather also from Toto, was on guitar as well.
