Although related to all of them, Follow-Up Manager is much less versatile than Micro Manager, By the Book Manager or even Bureaucratic Manager. This character’s lone managerial trait consists of inspecting all of his/her staff’s work on a strict schedule whose checkpoints can be measured in nanoseconds. This approach consumes all of his/her time as well as the staff’s leaving no time for planning, design, production or innovation.
Eventually the follow up becomes an end in itself, plunging the entire unit into a downward spiral from which there is no escape.
